I have a thing for men's clothing. So it should not surprise you that I am dying over this Boyfriend Jean trend! There is a tiny problem however. Ok it's a huge problem. It's my butt. Yes! Yes, my butt is huge and that's the problem. You simply cannot pull off the boyfriend look when your tush is as round and large as mine. Picture Kim K. trying to finagle her famous behind into a pair of slouchy jeans. It would look ridiculous and so would mine. No, my 'problem' isn't as big as KK's but you've got to be picking up on my point here. Boyfriend jeans (in my humble opinion) only look good on certain body types and that is not the type of body I have! So, I will continue to admire the boyfriend-jean-wearer's for the remainder of the trend's existence and keep my fingers crossed that whichever trend decides to take off next will be more compatible with athletic builds!

Happy Easter weekend to everyone!! I haven't painted/hunted eggs in ages and I'm thinking it's prime time I started that up again. Don't you think? It should always be done! I loved this tutorial I came across about how to make these gorgeous eggs!! I will be camping all weekend so I'm going to need one of you to try this out and let me know how it goes!!

Well Dressed Wednesdays: Joie Spring 2013

I GUESS I'D WEAR THIS

This collection has a sort of 'American' feel to it, doesn't it? I also love their take on the 'pajama' trend. These pieces make getting dressed for someone like me {pattern coordinator is not in my repertoire} super easy. And I have to tell you - this whole 'not buying clothes for 6 months' is absolutely killing me. I'm not sure if I just never paid much attention before {ok, I actually know that is it} but I have no spring clothes. No bright colors, soft and light weight sweaters, dressy shorts or piles of wedged shoes. These things do not exist in my closet and that is why today I am wearing black ankle pants {still swear by them, but could use them in other colors} a dark teal top and some black smoking slippers. Uh, this is not spring-wear my friends. I'm starting to feel-a-fool. Shopping....it may be happening soon. Also, is this girl my hair-twin or is she?

Travel: Point Clear, AL

ALLOW ME TO MAKE MY POINT CLEAR

 

I had the privilege of tagging along with a dear friend on a business trip to Point Clear, Alabama. I know, who would have thought it could be so exciting! We enjoyed beautiful weather {including the thunderstorm that rolled through just as we sat down for our beer and pizza and lasted long enough for us to make it back to the hotel and take full advantage of the ideal nap-taking weather in our ideal nap-taking beds} and despite the vicious allergy attack that hit me our last morning on the coast, I was able to relax and get some sun on my shoulders. Thanks to my friend, for her incredible generosity and wonderful company! I can't wait til next time. 

On a different note...a fashion note...You may have noticed {I don't know, maybe you haven't} it's been a minute since my last 'outfit post'. This is true for many reasons. None of which we will get into now. But know that they are coming...soon. Ish. I'm not sure when but please be patient with me.
